Dear Professor Burlin:
I am pleased to hear that the Polish diplomats did so well during last year's training course. I was very impressed with the group when I met them last December. I am sure it is because of the success which the course enjoyed that we have received numerous new requests for diplomatic training. I know you will not mind my saying that the high regard in which your Diplomatic Academy (and of course Dr Ayad) is held is due in no small measure to this success.
Letter from Mr Michael Tait CMG LVO to Professor T E Burlin , Rector , University of Westminster; Superintending Under-Secretary, Eastern European Department, FCO

I would like to extend my gratitude for your personal engagement in organising the course on Diplomacy, Practice, Procedures and Dynamics, in which young Polish diplomats had the opportunity to participate. I am aware that the programme emphasising theory and practice of diplomacy, international relations and foreign policy issues has been of remarkable significance to my Ministry in the process of changes that have been occurring in Poland. It has been an important contribution to the task of preparing a new diplomatic staff in my country.”
H E Professor Jerzy Makarczyk , Deputy Minister, Polish Ministry for Foreign Affairs

“We know of the Diplomatic Academy’s track record in this area not only from the course they held for a group of Polish Diplomats last year, but also through the courses they have organised for Commonwealth diplomats. Dr. Ayad is well known here and there is no doubt that his flair and organisational ability contributed to the success of these courses.”
Mr Douglas Hurd, CBE. MP, Secretary of State - Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs
